Trade Tape Pro Privacy Policy

Trade Tape Pro ("the app," "we," "us") is a tape-measure calculator and cut-list optimizer published by Surajit Roy. This policy explains what the app does — and does not — do with your information.

The short version: Trade Tape Pro is built to work entirely offline. We do not run a server for this app, we do not require an account, and we do not collect, transmit, or sell your projects, measurements, or personal information. Everything you enter stays on your device unless you personally choose to share a backup file. The only outside parties involved are Google, for showing ads to free users and for processing the one-time Pro purchase.

Information Stored On Your Device

Nothing here is transmitted to us — there is no server. The app stores projects, cut lists, and cut plans you create; conversion history; app settings (precision, Glove Mode, unit preferences); local purchase status, kept in sync with Google Play's records; and export credits earned from rewarded ads. Delete all of it anytime by uninstalling the app, or manage individual projects in-app.

Backup Files

The Settings screen lets you export saved projects to a file, created only when you tap "Backup projects" and handed to your device's native share sheet. We never see it, and it's never uploaded automatically.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Free-tier use may show ads, and a rewarded video can unlock an export credit. Ads are served by Google AdMob, which may collect device/advertising identifiers, general location, and ad interaction data — collected and processed by Google, not us. See Google's Privacy Policy. Before any ad, the app asks Google's User Messaging Platform whether your region requires consent first (EEA, UK, and similar). Review or change consent anytime in Settings → Privacy → Ad Privacy Options. No other ad or analytics service is used.

Purchases

The one-time "Pro" unlock is processed entirely by Google Play Billing (Android) or Apple In-App Purchase (iOS). We never see payment details — only confirmation of whether a purchase completed.

Children's Privacy

Trade Tape Pro is a general-purpose tool for tradespeople and DIY users, and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children, and our ad systems are configured accordingly.

Data Retention

Delete individual projects in-app, or uninstall the app to remove everything at once. Nothing exists on our end to delete, since there is no server.
